- This is the funniest take on the LA Times situation I've read in awhile. Truly laugh out loud (I refuse to use the approrpriate short-hand in these increasingly truncated times) and what an excellent way to wrap up a long day.
- I will have my Jane Smiley post up shortly. Really.
- I'm almost finished with The Zero and am slowly coming around to it. My review is due Sunday so I need to get on the stick, as it were.
- I find I'm still underwhelmed by the book festival panels. Is there something wrong with me, or are you also underwhelmed?
- Exactly two poetry-sharing volunteers have come forward. Two. Two poems to cover...um...30 days of April. Woefully short of the mark, people. Let's see that poetry. Now.
- I just re-read my Banville notes and can't wait to do my wrap-up -- some excellent nuggets and nuances were missed in our collective posts and I want to share. He was terrifyingly inspirational. You'll see what I mean when I do what I say...and post the damn thing.
