Today is Read Across America day. Yesterday was World Book Day. I'm all for raising bookish awareness among all populations, but I'm wondering if it's wise to have these days overlap. Wouldn't it be smarter, wouldn't bookish things get more overall coverage, if these days were spread around more evenly? And what about "month" instead of day? Is that all we can handle when it comes to literary things? One. Solitary. Day?
