- Oh my goodness. If you had it in your sweet little head that you were going to dabble in posting a few literary April Fool's posts, you would have received a crushing blow at the explosive volume (I'm still stunned, walking around in a post-read fog) of Ed's April Fool's Day posts. It is extraordinary.
- This is a busy week in LA Readings - and I've still not caught up on my lengthy descriptions of the last two weeks in readings! The latest in LA readings is up at LAist. On the tippy top of my list: Kiran Desai on Friday, Valentino Achak Deng on Saturday.
- Still gathering poetry submissions for April is National Poetry Month. Yours or your favorites penned by someone else, doesn't matter which. Just send them in!
- Speaking of poetry, I'm guessing Cruelest Month will have some excellent poetry coverage this month, so do check it out all month long.
- It occurs to me now, two days into April, that I had begged, I pleaded, for an extension of SotShoStoWriMo so that I could finish my story, neatly tie it all up...or decide to leave it loose and dangling...but complete it nonetheless. I have done neither. Either. None of it. I will hang my head in shame for at least a few more days before getting up, brushing off my knees, and starting again. It will be finished by the end of April.
- It is clear to me that April is the month of so many things, reckoning among others. Stay tuned.
