Okay, okay, okay. It's been teetering at the top of my pile and now it seems I simply must make room for it in my reading schedule. The Orange prize tells me so. Many bookish insiders are thrilled with the news that Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie's Half of a Yellow Sun has won the Orange prize, claiming it's the first time they've been so pleased with the results of a literary prize. The Guardian's Sarah Crown has a nice post about Adichie's win and a great Hay festival interview with her available via podcast.
If I were handing out awards for most popular posts on Counterbalance, I'd have to point out that Adichie's Picks ranks high among the most searched for and viewed posts. Never would have guessed...but that's how the interwebs work, all fancy and unexpected like that.
