Remember a while back when I wondered who might be cast in Peter Jackson's film adaptation of Alice Sebold's The Lovely Bones? (Remember? Remember?)
We now know one thing: the gorgeous and talented Rachel Weisz will play Susie Salmon's mother. While I never expected Salmon's mother to be quite so lovely (no pun intended, honest), I do think Weisz is divine. At bare minimum, she was excellent in The Constant Gardener, another book-to-film adaptation.
The bigger question: Who will play Susie Salmon?
Bigger still: How will Jackson handle the looking down from heaven bit? Not cheesily, I hope...
